What is demineralized water?
Demineralised water is a type of treated water from which dissolved minerals and salts, such as calcium, magnesium and chlorides, have been removed by methods such as reverse osmosis, ion exchange or distillation.
It is a water with high purity and very low electrical conductivity, which makes it an essential resource in industrial processes where water quality is a determining factor.
At Iberia Agua, we have been producing demineralised water since 1969: we offer customised solutions for sectors such as the metallurgical and automotive industries, laboratories and private individuals.
From our facilities in Zaragoza, we distribute this water nationwide. We also have a wide range of formats and capacities so that our sale of demineralised water can meet all your requirements.

Production of demineralized water in Zaragoza
Our plant in San Mateo de Gállego (Zaragoza) is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to guarantee the production of demineralised water of the highest quality. We use processes such as reverse osmosis and electrodeionisation to completely eliminate the salts and minerals dissolved in the water and maximise its purity.
We offer a wide variety of formats: from 1-litre bottles to 1,000-litre IBCs, adapting to the needs of each customer. In addition, our fleet of vehicles allows us to make efficient deliveries in Aragon and throughout Spain.
If you choose Iberia Agua, you are making a commitment to quality and sustainability. We were the first company in the sector to obtain ISO 9001 certification in 2000 and we are members of the Aragonese Climate Change and Clean Energy Strategy.
Frequently asked questions about demineralized water
Not exactly. Although both are mineral-free waters, the way to obtain each of them is different. Distilled water is obtained by removing impurities and microorganisms through evaporation and condensation. On the other hand, demineralised water is produced by removing dissolved ions, such as sodium, calcium and magnesium, through processes such as ion exchange or reverse osmosis. This results in water free of salts and minerals, with maximum purity guaranteed.
Although both types of water can be suitable for different applications and industries, at Iberia Agua we are specifically dedicated to the production and sale of demineralised water.
